Build your first creator shortlist

A connection is a setup milestone, not the goal. Here's how to turn it — or the hosted agent — into a small shortlist you can trust.

1. Confirm the connection with one profile

Before spending anything meaningful, send exactly one lookup. Copy the request below into your connected app — or into the agent here if you skipped setup.

Using Public Signal, look up the public Instagram profile @natgeo. Summarize its bio and follower count, and include its profile link. Use only one profile lookup; do not fetch follower lists or expand the research.

You should receive a short summary with a source link. This shows the shape of a result, not a guarantee that every account is always fetchable. This lookup uses Public Signal credits.

2. Bring your own brief

Write two or three sentences a colleague could act on: what you are launching, who it is for, and what a good creator looks like. Concrete beats clever — “US skincare launch, women 25–34, everyday-routine creators under 500k followers” beats “find me influencers”.

For a paid local collaboration, name the area and recent content you want to review. Treat rates and availability as unknown until you confirm them with the creator.

3. Ask for a small, bounded shortlist

Paste your brief in front of this request and send it. Five profiles is enough to judge quality before you spend more.

Using Public Signal, suggest 5 public Instagram creators suitable for a skincare launch aimed at women aged 25-34 in the US. For each creator, include the profile link, follower count, and one sentence of public evidence for the fit. Mark anything you could not verify as unknown. Do not expand the research beyond these 5 profiles without asking me first.

4. Review like a skeptic

• Every pick needs public evidence: a profile link, a follower count, and a reason tied to your brief. No evidence, no shortlist.
• Unknowns must stay marked as unknown. An assistant filling gaps with guesses is the main failure mode — push back when you see it.
• Check your usage in Usage & billing before scaling up. A good five-profile shortlist earns the next twenty; a shaky one does not.
