Terms of Service
Last updated: September 29, 2026
1. Acceptance and Accounts
These terms are between you and the operator of publicsignallabs.com (Public Signal, we, or us). By using the service, you agree to them. You must be at least 18; if you act for an organization, you must be authorized to bind it. Keep your account details accurate and credentials secure, and tell us promptly about unauthorized access.
2. Service Description
Public Signal provides tools for browsing, discovering, and analyzing publicly available Instagram accounts and content through a website, built-in Agent, connected-agent access, saved research, and exports. Subject to your plan and these terms, you may use the service for lawful personal or business purposes under a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license. Availability and coverage depend in part on third-party sources and may change.
3. Acceptable Use
You must have the rights and legal basis needed to submit information and to use, share, or export results. Public availability does not remove privacy or other legal duties. Do not use the service for unlawful surveillance, harassment, spam, discrimination, infringement, unauthorized access, or obtaining private information. Do not bypass limits, disrupt the service, share or resell account access, submit malicious material, or reverse engineer our software except as permitted by law.
4. Billing, Credits, and Cancellation
The Free plan includes a one-time 200-credit allowance and requires no payment details. Paid plans disclose their price, currency, billing interval, and credit allowance before purchase. Paid plan prices exclude taxes such as VAT or sales tax; applicable taxes are calculated from your location and shown at checkout before you pay. Additional charges are disclosed before purchase. Subscriptions renew at the disclosed interval until cancelled. Remaining Free credits are retained on top of your paid allowance. Paid credits are used first and reset at renewal without rollover. Unused Free credits remain available when the subscription ends; the one-time Free grant is not repeated. Credits measure usage, not money or guaranteed results, and are not transferable or redeemable for cash, subject to mandatory rights. Cancelling a task does not reverse charges for work already delivered.
Paid plans are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time with effect from the end of the current paid period through Manage Subscription in Usage & billing or by emailing support@publicsignallabs.com; access and paid credits continue until that period ends. Upgrading from Starter to Pro charges the prorated difference for the rest of the current period immediately and adds prorated Pro credits once the payment is confirmed. Switching from Pro to Starter takes effect at the end of the current paid period; nothing is charged at the time of the switch. If a renewal payment fails, we retry it and may move your account to the Free plan if it remains unpaid after the grace period shown in your account. We will notify you of price changes before they apply, and you may cancel before they take effect.
Our Refund Policy explains cancellation, refunds, and your right of withdrawal and forms part of these terms. We sell paid plans directly. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number. Receipts and invoices are sent by email. Mandatory law prevails over conflicting terms.
5. How a Purchase Is Made
Choosing a paid plan takes you to a checkout page hosted by Stripe. There you enter your payment and billing details, can review and correct them, and see the total including any taxes. By clicking the final order button you submit a binding order; the contract is concluded when the payment is authorized, and we confirm it by email. The contract language is English. We store the contract text, and these terms are available at any time on this page.
6. Results and Data Accuracy
Sources and AI-generated assessments may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. We do not guarantee the number of results, available contact details, audience information, profile metrics, deliverability, suitability, or commercial outcomes. Check important information independently before acting.
7. Exports and Third-Party Services
You are responsible for requests and credit use you authorize through connected agents, and for their permissions and use of exports. Public Signal does not send outreach on your behalf. Third-party accounts have their own terms and may carry separate charges. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Instagram or Meta; access to third-party content does not give you unrestricted rights to republish it.
8. Content, Privacy, and Ownership
You keep your rights in information you submit and may keep and download saved results, subject to rights in third-party content and personal information. You allow us and our providers to process information to operate, secure, and support the service. Our software, branding, and original materials remain ours or our licensors'. Our Privacy Policy explains personal-data processing.
9. Suspension and Termination
We may restrict access for a material breach, nonpayment, unlawful activity, or a genuine security or abuse risk. Where reasonable and lawful, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue; urgent protective action may be immediate. We may discontinue the service or decline renewal on reasonable advance notice, without removing remedies required by law. You can stop using the service at any time, but must cancel a subscription separately to stop renewal.
10. Warranties and Liability
Except for express commitments and rights required by law, the service is provided as available without additional warranties of accuracy, uninterrupted access, or fitness for a particular purpose. For business users, to the extent permitted by law, we exclude indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, revenue, opportunities, and data; our total liability is limited to fees paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose. These business exclusions and cap do not apply to consumers.
Nothing limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Consumers retain all mandatory rights and remedies.
11. Changes, Disputes, and Contact
We may revise these terms for service, security, legal, or billing changes. We will notify you of material changes in advance where required; they do not remove accrued rights, and you can cancel renewal before they take effect. Contact support@publicsignallabs.com about questions or disputes. Applicable law determines jurisdiction; these terms do not require arbitration or waive mandatory court rights. If a provision cannot be enforced, the rest remains in effect where lawful.
